Our First Trimester of this school year will be ending on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 Teachers will be completing final grades and Trimester Report Cards will be ready by the the end of the first week in December. Formal Parent-Teacher Conferences are planned for FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10 2004 ONLY. Please mark your calendar now and plan on keeping your appointment. This one day parent conference model is being used so that the students and teachers have less of a disruption in the school program. On this one parent-conference day the students would not attend school and the teachers will begin meeting parents at 8:00 AM - with appointments available every 15 minutes until 6:00 PM in the evening. The Federal Family and Medical Leave Act allows any parent/guardian to take the necessary time away from their employment to meet with their child's teacher for conferences. All parents should be able to meet with our teachers during the available appointments on December 10, 2004. We will be sending you the schedule of available appointments by the middle of November. When you receive the letter please complete the information requested and return the form as soon as possible. Remember that reports cards for this first trimester will not be automatically sent to you the parent/ guardian. You must attend this mandatory Parent- Teacher Conference to discuss your child's progress and to receive the report. We are hoping to have the ITBS test results available at this time as well
